Kandangi paatu sarees
Kandangi is a type of saree made from cotton in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Kandangi is smaller than the standard saree, measuring 5-1--5-6 metres in length and only about 0.9 metres in width as against 1.2 metres, which is thought to have been meant to allow the wearer to display their anklets, as was the practice then. The chettinadu 4 Sarees introduced by the Nagarathar community is native to the town of Karaikudi.
Kandangi Sarees available at Rathi Silk Palace are renowned for their vibrant colors, intricate designs and traditional craftsmanship. These sarees are often characterized by bold patterns, contrasting borders and rich cultural significance making them a cherished choice for those who appreciate heritage and elegance in their clothing.
